Postcard Perfect # 4 – Golden temple of Amritsar

This is my first card from India. Received through a private swap at Postcrossing. It’s been many years i’ve been fascinated about the culture of the country and one day, I hope I will have the chance to see this temple and of course the Taj Mahal.

This Golden Temple is located in Amritsar, Punjab and is also known as Harmandir Sahib. It is a holy temple for the Sikhs. More information about this glittering temple, you can have a visit here. Or you may check out Mr. Wiki.

The stamp with it.

It depicts Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. I just read about him awhile back and he is considered to be one of dynamic Indian leaders. He was born in November 7 1888 and died in November 21, 1970. A recipient of Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

The best way yata talaga to get the hard-to-find postcard is thru swapping, kasi kung hintayin pa sa postcrossing, it'll take forever bago makachamba.
